You get what you pay for.

For large and voluminous. Can not focus more than 200 yards accurately. Maybe good for bird watching, but not for bullet holes on targets.

Pros
  • Superb multi-coated optics reveal every detail with optimal color and contrast
Cons
  • Contemporary

More than I expected, bit of an effort to focus on.

Larger than expected, slight focus issues at 90X. The easiest way to focus is to focus to 30x and gradually zoom in to 90x, focusing on different points along the way. Need an extremely stable tripod to use effectively at 90X.

Pros
  • Quality Optics: The spotting scope comes with a BAK-4 prism, multi-coated optics and large 100mm objective lenses for bright, crystal-clear images.
Cons
  • faint

Bullet holes are visible at a distance of 300 meters.

You can see the bullet holes well at 300 yards, which is why I need this scope. If that's what you need it for, don't hesitate, anything else will cost you an arm and a leg. Use a stable tripod. I use mine with Manfroto, works wonders.

Pros
  • Rugged Construction: The ergonomic rubber armor makes this spotting scope waterproof, fogproof, shockproof and reliable in demanding environments.
Cons
  • Infinitely Sluggish

Good to 200-300 meters. Period.

I thought being Barskaya was good for 500+ yards, no. 200 yards is fine, but seeing shots from 300 yards on paper is almost impossible. Optical aberrations at high magnification and distances up to 300 meters prevent use as a spotting scope. My long range rifle instructor uses a $3,000 spotting scope and can spot a hit from a mile away. Don't be fooled into thinking a cheap scope will go over 300 yards :(

Pros
  • O-ring for waterproof protection; sealed with nitrogen to prevent fogging
Cons
  • The list goes on.

Better than I thought it would be.

I've only used it once so far and it works for me. My eyesight is not very good and I have no chance of seeing the target. This ensures a light, well-bright image even in low light. I put it on a camera tripod and don't think I'd trade it for one with the eyepiece tilted up, although that's personal preference. Enough cover. A small tripod is fine when you're at the shooting table. I think it's excellent value for money.

Pros
  • Precision Optics: The corrector has powerful and versatile magnification from 30x to 90x, making it easy to aim at a target and then zoom in for a more detailed view.
Cons
  • Some problems

Stunning, stylish and not expensive spotting scope!

Excellent spotting scope. However if you zoom beyond 60x you will need a very stable tripod and you may lose some quality but that's ok at high magnifications. The lens is large and transmits light well. If you want to use a digoscope, you'll need one of those universal adapters that hold your camera close to the eyepiece, since the eyepiece doesn't have a screw to screw onto the camera. The appearance is super bright and stylish! The included tripods are ideal for use on the table or at the…

Pros
  • Compact and Portable: The compact corrector comes with a soft pouch for easy storage and portability.
Cons
  • Nothing here

Terrible hunting and fishing so far

This spotting scope has three settings: 30x, 60x and 90x. I find 60x and 90x completely useless. I tried each setting for several minutes and couldn't get a clear idea. There are too many aberrations to use at magnifications over 30x. Glare at high magnifications is completely useless. There is no diopter compensation on the eyepiece. abominable! The lens is not multi-coated and not HD, obviously at this price point. The tripod consists of a piece of hard plastic and is of very poor quality. I…

Pros
  • Spotting scope 30x to 90x with 100mm lens
Cons
  • Available in white only

Large, super zoom, price.

Basically this scope has a great zoom and brightness, especially for the price. Unfortunately, the positives almost end there. The optical quality for this magnification is relatively poor. Chromatic aberration is pretty bad after a medium zoom (which is to be expected at this level, and the zoom lacks glass performance). Plus, that volume is HUGE. Most people don't pay attention to the size of the product, but this thing is HUGE. Definitely need a sturdy tripod (a decent camera tripod will…

Pros
  • Supplied with table stand and carrying case; limited lifetime warranty
Cons
  • matte packaging
