Very straight clean boards. They have a wood grain that is great for painting. Bought to build a dolls house. So much easier to work with. Excellent quality.

Bought these to use with my Cricut Maker and so far have been very happy with this alternative to the Cricut brand. Make sure you follow the Cricut instructions for setting up the mat and machine and you'll be fine. Ideal for cutting medium to large shapes for projects. In my overview photo, a four-leaf clover was carved from this linden tree. Normal acrylic paint applies quite well.

I ordered this for a Cricut Maker project. I was nervous at first as this is my first time using a knife blade and basswood, but it turned out perfect! ) ' under Materials. It takes a while as it's 14 passes and needs some sanding, but I'm very happy with the basswood panels.

Unevenly compressed wood. Density varies within a panel whether glue or wood is used. The result is differences in the cutting depth. I cut out two identical words from ONE piece of paper. I bought this wood for a project. I used Cricut Maker to cut out the shapes. The problem isn't with the tree, it's with Cricut Maker. If you're using simple shapes like a circle or square, Cricut Maker will easily cut out those shapes. If you have a more complex design, Cricut Maker will not work. You'd better use a laser cutting machine instead. Cricut Maker stopped in mid-process many times, crashed and had to restart. I purchased these leaves to use with my Cricut Maker and despite several reviews that they work/don't work I can't after a few Trial and error says they will work with the Cricut Maker, but with a few pointers to keep in mind when cutting: Make sure it's 1/16" (1.6mm) basswood when you cut the material select - this material setting will produce 14 passes of cutting. This is not enough for this material. After 14 passes Design Space will ask if more passes need to be cut and the answer is YES…
