Review on 🌳 Basswood Sheets 1/16 Inch for Crafting: Thin Plywood Wood Sheets (5 Pieces) by Karla Richter

I purchased these leaves to use with my Cricut Maker and despite several reviews that they work/don't work I can't after a few Trial and error says they will work with the Cricut Maker, but with a few pointers to keep in mind when cutting: Make sure it's 1/16" (1.6mm) basswood when you cut the material select - this material setting will produce 14 passes of cutting. This is not enough for this material. After 14 passes Design Space will ask if more passes need to be cut and the answer is YES. You will need at least 3-4 more passes after 14 passes to complete this actually cutting through material, after that you may still need to use an x-acto blade to carefully cut out parts that aren't have been cut all the way through (usually pasted corners) an example of shapes that work well and don't work well yut with this lime tree. Sic shapes and angles are at their best, anything intricate with lots of detail will literally flake off when cut. (FYI, my sample images show a whiteboard because I painted a layer of plaster before cutting) Try using the entire sheet rather than cutting out smaller pieces to cut. The smaller pieces of this basswood will move around during the cutting process even if you tape it down. I wouldn't take less than half a sheet when cutting, otherwise the basswood will shift during the cutting process. Finally, I recommend a sheet of medium to coarse sandpaper to smooth the edges, as sometimes the cut isn't always clean. Good luck cricuters!
