Excellent purchase! for power tool parts and accessories

I have been using multi-tooth drills or Forstner bits for years and have always bought very expensive ones. I saw this in an ad, I needed them immediately - they arrived in a couple of days and were just as good if not better than the $100 bits I've used before. Highly recommended - great device for the price.

Not the best buy in power and hand tools

I have worked with wood for 50 years. I have a project that requires 2" holes in 1/2" white oak. Based on the price of this bit and customer reviews, I expected reasonable durability. After 10 holes, he lost his cutting ability and started burning wood. Also, I left hole #1 with a lip as I drilled on both sides (yes, I used a through pilot hole). Cuts a shallow hole but dulls fairly quickly

I used this drill bit to drill 1" and 7/8" holes through 6x6" on my deck (cable rail installation). I successfully made 12 holes and now they just aren't sharp enough to fit through. The last 3 holes took a lot of pressure to get through. Now it just burns the tree and won't cut. This tool has a sloped curve. I would at one corded drill (my Dewalt batteries just didn't have the power and ran out quickly.) You have to lean on the drill with your body weight and then push and pull (think like a…
