Not Worth the Investment

As an automotive enthusiast, I was hoping for a quality product with this Battery Regulator Adjustable Display Controller. Unfortunately, my analysis of this product showed that it's not worth the investment. The adjustable display feature is convenient, but the overall quality is poor. It's not reliable, and the battery regulator aspect is subpar. Save your money and invest in a higher-quality product.

Pros
  • Adjustable display
Cons
  • Poor quality, subpar battery regulator

CABLES WON'T STAY IN PLACE

WIRE CONNECTIONS ARE TERRIBLE! THE LINES ARE PERMANENTLY DISCONNECTED! WILL NOT HOLD THE 10 METER WIRES THAT ARE COMMON FROM MOST SOLAR PANELS.

Pros
  • Patio, Lawn & Garden
Cons
  • The list will go on.

What is the reverse polarity protection for?

So I know this is a cheap solar charge controller but I bought it with the expectation that it would work but might not be very efficient. I got the 60 amp version knowing it was double what I need but wanted to know about solar power. The product details said it had "total protection" for newbies like me who might mistakenly reverse connect the SAE connector to the battery circuit. Warning! This can partially protect the controller, but it will cause the solar panel to reverse current and melt

Pros
  • Generators & Portable Power Supplies
Cons
  • Not bad
