I don't know what the complaints listed are about. What I received was a set of beautifully finished black nipple spokes. Both look high quality and the nipples are non-magnetic, I'm not sure what metal they are made of. The delivery took about 3-4 days, a week maximum, but I was not in a hurry. The bike I restored looks fantastic. For the price, these spokes are overpriced.

Ordered these spokes for a Schwinn rim that was missing a couple of spokes. After reading how to measure a knitting needle, I ordered the correct size. The needles sent there are exactly as ordered and fit perfectly. It was a little tricky to install without removing the other spokes, but it only took a few minutes to install. They come with retaining nipples which was a plus.

These spokes come with 14mm nipples. Make sure your needles are the right size. I needed 2mm shorter than the needle calculator gave, otherwise I ran out of thread when pulling. The black coating is color only and will be erased when laced up and especially when pulled. I've used them on one bike for several months with no problems. Let's see how they perform on the current wheelset.

Ordered 272mm needles. I build my own wheels and use many different types of spokes. At this price I wanted to see these inexpensive needles first hand. You should know two things about these spokes: (1) These are not stainless steel spokes like regular decent spokes. I've searched "#45 steel" and found all sorts of information, so I'm not exactly sure what steel these spokes are made of, but it's magnetic, not stainless. (2) Nipples are also made of steel.
