I used them for bathroom shelves and really liked them. This is a cheaper lightweight wood but they all look the same in color.

I did not use them as a shelf. I used it as a cat ladder to get my son's cat onto his loft bed. They do an excellent job of that. We have a big, heavy cat and they hold up to everyday use :)

I bought these shelves to increase the space in my home bar. They fit perfectly into the existing wood. The middle shelf was the perfect size, so I just cut the large shelf to fit. I used a brown wooden pencil to blend the cuts and it worked perfectly. The shelves were easy to assemble and very durable. A great addition to my bar.

Minor point: the dimensions of the drill bits in the instructions are not fractional numbers typically found on drill bits. This is good and I used 5/32 drill bits and then 7/32 drill bits. Soft wood but strong enough to carry a 20 lb cat! It was a much cheaper alternative than buying actual cat wall furniture. These shelves are very easy to assemble; I had to get the drill out as there are no pre-drilled holes and each shelf has 12 screws to attach it to the wall and bracket. I like the choice of how the bracket fits the shelf - I chose to mount the bracket while "holding" the shelf. Bought these to accent a similarly finished ceiling fan in our master bedroom. They look great and are very easy to put on. The problem was that the wood stain and wood were very, very cheap and used to wear out my hands and our sheets as I worked. I just put the shelves on the bed and assembled them with my hands so the image of the stain on the sheets is literally just them sitting there. I was so excited about these shelves but they were nothing short of a huge disappointment. I received the first set and one of the 6 brackets had the holes punched differently. Okay, ok, ordered a replacement. I inspected everything when the replacement came and everything turned out to be fine. After reading the reviews I decided to pre-drill holes in the floors to avoid cracking the wood during installation as wood is definitely very brittle. That helped.
