If I could give this product zero stars, I would. We now have four floating shelves with five broken screws in the wall. They can't be moved, we can't remove broken screws, so now we need to find a way to bend the remaining end to hold the shelves! They are either awkward to screw into the corners of the wall. The screws are made of very cheap material, please don't try to put them in the wood, we even struggled to hit the white wall. Save money, look for another product.

I was very hesitant to proceed with this project (PTSD due to failed drywall anchor construction) but it was surprisingly easy and the anchors worked well. The instructions, while a little vague, were easy to follow. Drywall anchors require a 1/4" drill hole (hole size not specified in assembly instructions). These shelves look great on your wall once you put them there. We keep succulents, cacti and bonsai on them in our living room and they easily support the weight of small potted plants. The screw holes are simply welded washers and therefore have no consistency in terms of parallelism or angularity. If you tighten the screws all the way into the board you will most likely warp the brackets so they don't look symmetrical. Maybe that's part of the charm? All in all, they'll look great once you've

Two of the three bracket kits were defective. If you installed the bracket flush with the wall, the front and back of the shelf will not be level. Also, it was crooked so you had a gap on the sides and the screws couldn't get into the bottom of the shelf. One bracket was missing a weld piece through which the bottom screw had to be inserted. These shelves are small. I was starting to shrink and wanted some simple but cute floating shelves for bowls, mugs etc. By three I have tea boxes at the bottom and my google house, bowls, mugs and a tin of cutlery are stacked in the middle. and there are three containers of oatmeal/cereal on the top shelf. My fiancé is installing them now. So far four screws have snapped in half while drilling. He made the holes larger to accommodate the screws and put less stress on them, but they still snap in fairly easily. I photographed four broken screws. Listen to other reviews that recommend buying completely new hardware and throwing it straight in the trash. This will save you headaches and swearing. All in all these are nice shelves.
