Ideal for brewing beer!

5 gallon beers containing malt extract and grain are brewed in this kettle. I think this will do even for whole grain brews. For the price it's perfect! Sturdy and stable on my gas stove. I'm not a frequent brewer so that helps!

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • No paint required

Good value for money but the handles seem questionable

A definite improvement over the aluminum shell I used. I would give five stars but the welded handles don't feel solid and make me nervous. A pause in moving 6 gallons of boiling wort will pretty much ruin your day. Minus 2 stars. I don't know if that was intentional but they included a nice beer thermometer with my order which is great. Plus 1 star.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • There is a bug

What a big expensive disappointment

Make a big 16 lb ham, lots of space and depth. But disappointed with the thickness of the bottom of the pan. 2-point burns on the outside The bottom of the pot penetrates the inside of the pot due to its small thickness. Even though there was 2 gallons of liquid in the pot, they paid $70.80. The quality is not acceptable for the price of the jug. Do not buy this product, you will regret it and it is a great loss for me.

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • For the old ones

Super helpful in brewing

Probably the best investment for a novice brewer for reasons that aren't obvious. Obviously it can be used to prepare an extract on the stove. But I use it to heat wash water for grain brewing. THEN I use it as a fermentation bucket! I don't care about an airtight lid clamp and airlock. The lid fits well and looks like a gate. Easy access to sample brew or dry hops etc. Very easy to clean and sanitize. The fact that it's a thin metal makes it easy to carry around 6 liters of beer! The gripsโ€ฆ
