🚀 Enhance Performance with BBK 1580 66mm Throttle Body for Ford Ranger & Explorer 4.0L Review

Great improvement combined with manifolds and 2 1/2" full exhaust and k&n filter. I also made a mod for the airbox and tether. The mod is superior to the stock throttle body by the way. Not yet, the rest of my mods are internal ie cams, 1.7:1 rockers and ported heads clutch 2nd gear five stars for bbk and revain.

Adds throttle response but doesn't say it gives you more power. It is not provided without other parts. If you want power, you need to pair it with larger injectors and a fuel pump that pumps more fuel. More fuel = more power. More air = leaner mixture. He does exactly what he is supposed to.

Mine was broken, if it kept getting stuck the spring wasn't strong enough. When the truck is on and you hit the gas pedal, the TB doesn't reset, so you end up driving like cruise control. Even if you press the brake pedal, the car will slow down, but the TB will remain in a stuck state. Position, after completely stopping, my truck idles very hard and wants to jump. OEM TB reinstalled, now Ranger runs with no problems. Many Thanks

Improves throttle response but doesn't necessarily add horsepower. My biggest problem is the throttle getting stuck in the open position. The throttle valve does not close when the pedal is released. Pretty scary/dangerous. Only lasted 3 months, sent back to BBK for repair/exchange, after 3 months the TB jams again - same problem as before, something with the spring mechanism, definitely not as strong as the TB spring. Removed, TV put in stock.
