Ideal for wire work.

Great! So far I have used them for wire work and they are good for both straightening and holding the wire while I work with it. I like that it comes with interchangeable tips. I also like that these jaws are narrower than typical nylon jaw tools. They can penetrate places inaccessible to broader ones.

Beadalon Nylon Pliers

Beadalon make quality jewelry tools and they are no exception. They are excellent for hardening and straightening wire. I often use them to straighten bent wire as well as harden and harden it. They are well made and built to last. They come with an extra pair of nylon sponges which you will eventually need as the wire will pick them up over time. Well Done; a good product; Fair price.

These jaw pliers have a temporomandibular joint.

These tongs would work great if the real nylon sheaths were left! The screw that connects the nylon pads to the metal part of the pliers screws directly into the nylon creating a deburred hole that tends to wear out with use and then of course it all falls apart. Using these pliers often feels like trying to chew on half a denture when one of the nylon plates falls out of the middle of the clamp. Krapola.
