Saved me a lot of money!

The perfect solution for my damaged axle, which no longer seals with conventional shaft seals. You were perfect. Ease of installation. I recommend watching the company's video for the correct installation order.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • A few little things

Great gear and transmission product

I am a boat repairman and occasionally get a follower that needs bearing repairs. I've been using these seals and bushings longer than Buddy Bearing sells them. They used to be sold under the Spindo Seal name.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Some faults

Problem fixed: Spare parts

Should have used years ago. I used regular seals with bearing partners, blew out the seals and grease came out. Bearings have failed on boat trailers. So far with 5 trips to the lake looks good. Now I will use them.

Pros
  • understandable even with old
Cons
  • no longer know

Does not fit yacht club trailer

The product is fine but does not fit my axle. The special geomembrane didn't go deep enough as my axle was rotated during the MFG process. This would prevent my hub assembly from sliding properly. It was on the Yacht Club trailer (WC112). Gasket damaged during removal.

Pros
  • This is fantastic
Cons
  • Not as good as it says

Modifications Required

After installation, the new seals pushed my hub out just enough that it didn't tighten enough when I installed the nut so I could use a cotter pin. When I re-read the instructions I noticed that it says that this can happen with some spindles and you either have to modify the nut or don't use it. I was able to slightly sharpen the nut where I could use a cotter pin. Also, I seem to hold back on lube.

Pros
  • Nicely Packaged
Cons

Bearing Buddy 60005 1.98 " Spindle Seal

I purchased a Bearing Buddy spindle seal kit because I had a serious grease leak on one of my kayak trailer's wheel bearing seals. The trailer wheel axle had a rough surface that was showing through bad welding was caused.Installation was fairly easy.I had to cut the slots in the castle nut a bit deeper to get the cotter pin in but it was easy and straight forward. The Bearing Buddy spindle seal removes the grease completely Boat trailer This is a good product Thumbs high!

Pros
  • Good Thing
Cons
  • Long Time
