Just got this knife from Beavercraft. I have several of their other spoon carving knives and this one is great for finer detail when there is too much layering. Did the first test drive with it today, made a small teaspoon out of birch - cuts well and feels good in the hand.

I decided to try these new woodcarving knives and wanted to add that to my fun. So straight out of the box, super sharp and ready to go. Of course I need more practice but they are very sharp nonetheless, they fit my hand perfectly when held there and they will definitely be a worthy addition to my wood carving kit.

I've recently gotten back into woodcarving after not being a hobby for a few years and discovered BeaverCraft on YouTube. Ordered a few guides and 2 knives later, I followed them on Facebook where they occasionally give away gifts. That's how I got this set. I have no idea about chip carving, but I'm dying to learn with these tools. The handles are comfortable and easy to hold, the blades are instantly sharp, and there was enough room in the bag for my other knives.

Full Disclosure: I won this set of knives in an Instagram contest. This does not affect my rating. I received my knife set quickly (2 days) and after opening it I checked the sharpness of the blades. There are no ridges on the back and it shaved the hair off my arm without sharpening it. Haven't used them for their intended purpose yet but am very impressed with the quality after my inspection. I have many Beavercraft products and can honestly say they make good knives. This set cuts right out…

I've done some hands-on planing and really liked how easy this knife is to use. I will be buying more Beavercraft carving knives in the future. Your prices are great too! You will not be disappointed with these knives or the company.

Beaver Craft made a very nice carving! It's sharp hence the bandages, light weight and easy to work with, I would recommend it to anyone who is a beginner in carving or other woodwork. As a professional luthier, the only thing I like about this knife is its handle, it's not very ergonomic and the shoulder where the blade enters the handle tends to get in the way when cutting. If you are an advanced carver, I recommend replacing the handle with a new one. Don't let this review put you off buying
