🔍 Enhanced Search-Optimized Beck Arnley PCV Valve (Part Number: 045-0351) Review

Idol car stuttered a little. There was oil in the hose from the PCV valve. This is how I found out that my PCV is failing. After replacing it with a new one, the problem was solved. Make sure you either replace the hoses or clean the old ones. I also removed and cleaned the throttle body choke.

This is not identical to the part that came from our 2011 Impreza. Tube burr too small. I was able to get it working in a pinch by reinforcing it with a few turns of tape, but I'll be replacing it with a suitable part soon. I have verified that the Standard Motor Products V497 is physically identical to the OEM valve. Disappointed in Beck Arnley. I use them on a lot of gaskets but this is just the wrong part.

So after a month of installation I feel like I can write a good review. I installed it on my 2008 Subaru Legacy 2.5. All you have to do is disconnect the two spark plug leads from the ignition coil (not difficult at all). You can then use a 19mm or 3/4" DEPTH socket with a 6" or larger extension to remove it.
