The old cable is a bit difficult to untie as it cracks like a salted cracker. After removing the old piece by piece, it will fit perfectly, but install carefully without using excessive force.

The product works as it should. Snapped in properly, did not trigger any lights or codes. This part often breaks when replacing the expansion tank and needs to be replaced to check the transmission temperature.

Updated the cooling system on my X3 '05. The old ones will self-destruct if the reservoir is pulled out of the bracket. This BA fitted the OEM mount perfectly and the car was back in perfect condition with no leaks or problems on the road.

Worked great! If you have a BMW with this thermostat at the bottom of the radiator expansion tank and need to replace the tank (they crack over time with heat) then you will need one of these as the original is brittle and will fall apart.

Cracked tank replaced. As usual I skipped the 'recommended' items below and didn't like the 04 BMW 325xi. I must have missed that part in the DIY video, yes I missed that part. I ordered a thermos, took everything back and installed the part that arrived a day ahead of schedule and my machine is running fine!

This is a great product at an affordable price. I always buy OEM and took a chance, but it works great. Fits snugly and is the item to buy when installing a new expansion tank. The old one always breaks and then you get stuck until you buy it. Buy this product and save money by getting a quality product. A++

For my E46 BMW 323CI - Works as it should. Mount it to my radiator mounting plate with some lube with your elbow, apply some radiator fluid to the o-ring before installing. Note that the expansion tank will leak during installation if the tab on the thermostat is not flush with the edge of the housing on the mounting plate. a bit flimsy, I understand this device only lasts one interval, but it's cheap and Prime eligible!

Works as it should. On a hot August day, my tank exploded. I swapped it out when changing the coolant reservoir. It may have worked fine, but after reading the forums I noticed that everyone says they broke this part during a tank repair. Don't you know I couldn't get the damn thing out and broke it trying to get it out with pliers? So after 5000 km driven I can say with confidence that it works well. 02 BMW X5 E53 3.0
