Broken after a few months of use

Broken after a few months of use. He continued to give out intermittent crankshaft sensor codes, forcing the car to operate in emergency mode. I had to send the sensor back.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Crumpled

Check Engine Indicator P0335

I replaced the sensor with this one and it looks like the OEM sensor that came before. However, this failed and I got past the return window. Replaced the sensor with an OEM sensor that cost $270 and hasn't had any problems for the past few months. Save time and money, buy an OEM and get the job done the first time.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • High price

Buy OEM from Honda: Crankshaft Position

The sensor failed after 4 months and had to pay for reinstallation which is not cheap. The sensor failed out of nowhere and the car limped and would not fire. It doesn't seem any better than the $14 sensors. Getting a replacement was also ridiculous and now I can't even get a return label from Revain to return the broken sensor. If the sensor is not returned I will be charged another $95 but have no idea how to go about it.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Obsolete Model

Perfect fit for 2005 Honda Pilot EX-L

Had a 2005 Pilot with a snapped timing belt. After removing the heads for the valve work and replacing the timing belt, tensioners, water pump etc. we reassembled the engine and it would not start. I had compression but no spark or fuel. Connected wifi OBD/live data device to the OBD port and to the app on my iPad and confirmed that the RPM was showing 0 at start i.e probably the crankshaft dead position sensor which was then preventing the PCM from sending sparks/fuel . Replaced with this…

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Only available in Black

Error code P0335 and P0336 after installation

Changing the timing belt and water pump I decided to replace the original 15 year old crankshaft position sensor on my 2006 Honda Accord because I didn't think I would have to deal with it again invest . .Maybe a month after installing this Beck-Arnley sensor, my check engine light came on and the car went into limp mode. I used my code reader to see what the problem was and found the two codes listed above. There was no need to think about actual cables as it's unlikely they would fail…

Pros
  • GOLS certificate
Cons
  • Replacement availability
