Good connection. The engine light went out.

Good connection. The engine light went out for a couple of hours (enough time to pass the inspection) :) then it came on again. The item is not perfect, but it serves its purpose. I'd rather pay $17 and do it myself than pay Nissan $500.

Pros
  • Rated for underhood conditions
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something there

Never use Beck Arnley products!

ZERO STARS This part was ordered to be compatible with my 2003 Nissan xTerra 3.3L engine. That's absolutely not true! I immediately got a check engine light and code P0335. Pulled out, checked with an ohmmeter and got 688 ohms. This is above the spec, which is 512-632. I replaced it with a correct spec sensor and the code is gone. I have a Beck Arnley knock sensor for the same car and am having problems with it as well. Revain reimbursed me $16 for the part not including the time it takes me to

Pros
  • Specific application for this vehicle
Cons
  • New competitors appeared

COMPLETE headache replacing the 2000 Xterra SE 4WD Auto. I'm glad it's all over. If you attempt this, be aware that getting there is difficult and there is no easy way to do it. Here's how I did it with lots of cursing. - Raise the jack and remove the driver's front wheel. - Remove the wheel arch rubber plate. - In the rear area of the shaft you can hardly get into the sensor housing with your hand. - The sheet metal in the shaft restricts, bends it. I just cut 2 1 inch discs and bent them…

Pros
  • Faithful form, fit and function including magnet strength
Cons
  • Low repairability
