The wave pattern is weird. He seems to leave a crease on the curl. I found I liked it best when I patted through my curls to the ends with the flat iron to create a looser, livelier wave. It just seemed like a lot of work to pull off the beachy wave look.

I am very disappointed about it. I have another Bed Head curling iron and it has an adjustable heat setting: low, medium or high. It only has an on/off switch. Since it says it heats up to 400°, it's obvious that the high temp is the only setting. I don't understand the logic of creating a thermal tool without adjustable heat. It only took me about 10 minutes to curl my hair. I've always loved the curls you can get with a flat iron, but I've never been able to get it right. I have fine thin blonde hair and it was too much heat for my hair and it still didn't look right. It was so easy and I got the curls I wanted. No twisted curls like a curling iron, but freer and messier. I love it!
