My 2013 Ford Flex did not recognize this key fob when programming. I had two original key fobs in the car as the instructions say. I think there's a reason this keychain is $30 and the others are in the $50 range.

I took the key fob to my local Ford dealer and they charge $60 to program the computer chip in my car. I was told that "non-genuine" key fobs might not work, but this one didn't work. It wasn't worth trying to save money. I ended up having to buy one through Ford.

Not as good as the original key, of course, but still works. Got it up and running in less than 5 minutes for my 2011 Explorer. Followed the instructions on youtube. You need two working keys to activate it. Bought as a replacement just in case.

This remote control didn't work with my car even though you said it would. I took it to the dealer to have it cut and programmed. He said that although the comet looks the same, it cannot be programmed into my car. Now it's too late to get a refund. Thanks for ripping me off

crap. I couldn't program it, so I took it to a locksmith and they couldn't program it either. He supplied one from a local supplier that worked. I watched him throughout the process so I'm sure it's a waste of money. Unfortunately I missed the return window before the locksmith tried to program it.

I have a used 2017 Escape with only one key fob, Ford dealer wanted "$250 to $275" for a second one. Called a mobile locksmith who did it for $100 in about 5 minutes with a device connected to the ODB2 diagnostic port and his iPhone. Works well, has remote start, lock/unlock, open tailgate. Unfortunately it was not possible to cut the physical key as it is not the "secured key" model in the OEM key fob hence a star has been deducted.

Ford had an easy way to add a key fob if you have two working key fobs. If you do, order one of these and youtube how to add a third if you only have one. I used a registered version of FORScan for Windows and a Veepeak USB adapter. After a 10 minute security check (helps ensure you are not connecting to a vehicle without the owner's knowledge) you can retrieve the door key code and remove all car key fobs and add new ones.
