Worth the money.: Tools and Equipment

Works great! The John Deere D140 had rough idling and full throttle. Tried everything possible on Google. I just didn't want to walk. Bought it and put candles in it. Immediately it turned out that a spark plug was only half working. It was necessary to adjust and clean the gap (new candles, by the way). Got this taken care of and it works like a top.

An interesting product.

Never heard of this product. I saw this while looking for a built in tester and for the price I thought I'd give it a try. So far I've only played with it, trying new and old plugs, standard and platinum plugs. It is interesting to see the difference in platinum candles. I have found that shorter plugs (for lawn equipment) are not adequate to make contact inside the tester. But in general I think it will be useful for home use.

Will not work.: Tools & Equipment

No instructions. I installed a couple of candles using the only way I could find out that it worked and when the bulbs were turned on there was a high frequency noise flashing but I didn't see a spark on the candles. I tried 2 different candles, turned on, saw a brief spark from 1 candle, then it went out and that was it. I checked the power plug which was fine, I couldn't revive it. I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 because I doubt this could be something I've done, but the lack of instructions…
