Poor strap design when doing sports

The helmet was the right size for my 18 month old but the strap didn't work at all. The part that goes under the chin is too far in front so it easily slips under the chin. Shortening the strap does not solve this problem and there is no way to adjust the front/back position of the strap. I returned it and bought a Schwin which works great (and is much more adjustable).

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Crumpled

Not for babies: team sport

The helmet seems to be of good quality (we have the same brand and style for my 4 year old) but it is it NOT for babies. We bought this for an 18 month old girl with a medium head size and there is no way to fit her head snugly enough. We returned it and got a Schwinn helmet instead which has a dial on the back to make it smaller and fits her perfectly.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Don't really like it, everything is fine

Cute functional toddler helmet

This helmet fits our 1.5 to 2 year olds very well and is easy to put on and take off. The chin clip works well and is comfortable. We adjusted the strap immediately and didn't have to move it again. He really gets sweat on his head when he uses it on a hot day and ends up wanting to take it off so he's a little hot. But honestly, it's hot outside in North Carolina in the summer! Great and cute helmet at a good price.

Great helmet for a small child!

I bought this for my child as I have a bike and a child bike seat so we can ride bikes together. I got it in November when she was 20 months old and weighed 23 pounds. It is now February and she is 23 months old and weighs 26 pounds. It's small and I was afraid it would be too big, but it fits great! It started to stretch a bit on the first ride, but once we started moving it was fine. After a few rides with the helmet on she got used to it completely, it feels comfortable and really does its…

Huge, non-adjustable

This helmet is sized for toddlers, not babies. Basically it is not regulated. The only adjustment that can be made is to shorten or lengthen the chin strap. Because the interior of the helmet is initially too large, the helmet remains very loose even with maximum tightening of the strap. An elastic band is sewn into the inside of the helmet, which the manufacturer calls "True Fit", which is just a cheap excuse for not using a real size adjuster. Get the little baby sized Joovy Noodle, it's a…

I was torn between this more traditional one

I've been looking for a helmet for so long! I was torn between this more traditional breed of skateboarder/snowboarder and the newer breed of skateboarder/snowboarder that is now becoming more popular with cyclists. I ended up going with two of them. They tend to come in slightly smaller sizes and since our 14 month old is in the 50th percentile of head size we needed something smaller. In terms of fit? They are beautiful - they fit your head perfectly and will grow with you until they are at…

Works great, looks great on my daughter

Summary: This helmet works great on my 9 month old daughter who was in the 70th percentile for head circumference and weight - 99th percentile for height. Adjusting it to fit my daughter's head was as easy as adjusting the nylon strap that goes under the chin. The rear strap of the helmet automatically adjusts to my daughter's head circumference and is neither too tight nor too loose. - The strap material is soft, I don't expect it to cause irritation or abrasion on the skin. - Curved buckle…
