I was recently stopped for insufficient lighting. After installing the new batteries, I was impressed at how much the quality had improved. So be warned that by the time you get these lights, the standard batteries will likely not last very long or will already be dead.

Very disappointed with these. The rubber on the taillight bracket broke in less than a week while I was riding the bike. Not as bright as many other bike lights. They should only be viewed as 'extra' lights - don't rely on them as your main bike lights. I expected more from a Bell product.

These lights are bright enough to be seen and clean enough for cyclists. You turn them on by pressing the front of the light. Easy to put on. I ordered 24 batteries off eBay for $3. After that, I'll probably get rechargeable ones. The taillight mount is angled so it's level when you attach it to the seatpost. After a year of driving it daily I have downgraded my rating to 2 stars. I have used a pair of Friendly Swede bike lights in parallel and there is nothing to compare them to. The 7LED Friendly Swede outperforms these devices in terms of brightness, durability (the button on them starts to stick after a few months of use) and water resistance (the FS are encased in a neoprene sleeve). These are fantastic lights! Easy to use, bright and waterproof. The front light is made of black plastic that surrounds the bulb. So when it's attached to the handlebars, the light won't shine in your face or distort your vision ahead. My only concern is that I store my bike outdoors and the soft rubber straps that attach it to your bike will stretch and seem to break after prolonged exposure to the elements.
