Bell Race Star Flex DLX Helmet (RSD The Zone Matte/Gloss White/Candy Red - Medium) Review

Best fit and lightest on the market. Also the best look and feel, worth every penny. I have several helmets and this is my favorite.

Small helmet. The size chart is wrong. My head circumference is 55.6 cm. According to the table, I bought size SM. 5 minutes with helmet. I felt like my head was being clamped in a vise. Be sure to take at least one size larger than indicated in the size chart.

I love this helmet - it's a work of art. This helmet is probably the best helmet I've ever had, even better than the Shoei I use on tour. But since this is a racing helmet, it's too tight on my cheeks. Fits my head perfectly but too tight on the cheeks. I also don't understand why they sent a red bag instead of a yellow one (yellow reflective helmet)? I highly recommend this helmet.

I like the helmet very much, it just fits incredibly tight. Decided to go down a size after my last call started dropping in less than a year. The only problem is when removing the helmet. Literally gave me a cauliflower ear. Smaller cheek pads helped but didn't solve my problem. You just have to be very careful when I take it off. Good luck if you get a reply from Bell they've been ignoring for over a year. I think it's time for a new helmet brand.

what can I say, this purchase took me almost 6 weeks. I have reviewed so many helmets. They fit perfectly; visibility is optimal; weight is invisible; the visor is great (I bought the dark silver iridium). The irony of helmet ratings is that you never want to be a racer to prove he's safe. Should such an event ever occur, I have every confidence in Bell. There are many stores to buy from but I chose Revain for easy shipping and returns when needed.

I ordered this helmet according to the size chart on the Bell website and it's too tight, I suggest taking a size up. Cheek pads are deadly on the face too, you can't even open your mouth because you're biting the inside of your cheeks. When I get rid of this helmet, my ears seem to fold into an origami sculpture. I also had a problem installing my Pactalk: I couldn't put the battery in the helmet because the vents were in the way, and because my ears were being pinched I couldn't imagine my…
