Not as reassuring as picking out a silver hip flask from fine worsted wool or a worn denim pocket. These vials have a papery rustle, not a faint one. When empty, however, they almost completely collapse in weight and volume. And you can see how much is in it! Excellent! Mine don't leak, are very comfortable and come with a funnel. I really like these bottles and may get a few more. I don't use them to smuggle booze into gigs, although I think they'll work if that's your purpose. I actually use them for hiking. The problem with drink chambers is that it's hard to tell how much you've used/left over. On hot days I sometimes blow through what I have brought with me and nothing is left for the "last mile”. Absolutely NOT for hiking. I filled two with 12oz whiskey and they kept leaking throughout my trip. They leak where the plastic wraps around the spout under pressure.
