🔧 Enhanced Performance Belltech 6401 Shackle Kit Review

Put your trust in your 2009 Silverado 2WD. The distance at the front and back is exactly the same. Installation took about 2-3 hours. There are many reviews on installation help here. The only problem is that the fenders make contact with the axle after only 250 lbs. I suggest changing (cutting) or finding shorter stops. But who really wants to carry a heavy load by dropping a truck? Very happy with the quality and look of the truck.

Removed 1" lift block for installation. Just under 3 inches. 2014 Sierra RC Sat 2WD. Gives it a level stance, which I think should be the case when it's new. Hits feel better too, less tremor on bumps. The headlights were actually improved by raising them backside down. Just note that on a GMC/Chevy with a trailer pack, you will need to remove the tongue to pull out the long factory bolts.

Installation is easy as others have stated for 07-13, you will need to bend the seam at the bottom of the bed to make room for the brace. But once that was done the installation was very easy and after installing it I also removed the block and there was a real 3 inch drop. I love the look now and just notice that the front is a standard height. This is on 285/55/20 Venom Hunter Xt and 20x10-27 wheels. *

Very good quality. I installed this on my 2011 Silverado 2wd max with a 6.2L trailer pack. I started with 36 1/2 front, 39 3/4 rear. Finished with 37 inches on all four corners. Very happy with the look of a smooth truck. Everything went relatively easy, except for the upper shackle bolts. Belltech 6401 Bracket Kit works great but needs a few supporting mods in my opinion. I installed the kit on a 2018 Sierra RCSB and experienced vibrations in the 20-30 mph range. You will likely need the Belltech 4975 2 Degree Gasket Kit when installing on the RCSB. You will not be using the bolts from the kit, just insert the washers at the front of the leaf spring pack, making sure the large end of the washer is at the back. I bought these shackles because I wanted to downsize the factory rake originally fitted to my 2012 Silverado. The struts alone reduce the pitch so the difference between the top of the rear fender opening and the top of the front fender opening is 1/2 inch.
