I love this sweatshirt (because my son loves it)! This is the ideal weight for every day, indoors or out. I only gave it a 4 for thickness because it's not thick, but it shouldn't be a heavy sweatshirt either. I like the smooth finish. My son wears it everywhere. even baseball practice. and gets compliments all the time (not a huge plus for him, but it tells me he made the right choice in choosing this sweatshirt). I bought this for my 8 year old son and while the design is pretty cool to call it a sweatshirt would be an exaggeration. It's neither soft on the inside nor warm, so I'd say it's more of a hooded long-sleeve shirt. I wish it was very warm but the design is cool and it can be worn in slightly warm weather with a light breeze, like a sunny day at the beach when it is sunny but still a bit windy but not too cold. This is described as a sweatshirt, but it's made of a thin, slippery, nylon-like fabric that's NOTHING like a warm, fluffy sweatshirt. If you're looking for something lightweight that isn't warm or lined and isn't made for those cold fall days, this is it. If you are looking for a warm and cozy sweatshirt then this is NOT for you.
