Nice cable and works great

I have bought many of these cables and they have not lived up to expectations but this one still makes me happy. Good support even if it's not plug-n-play. I only wish it had a protective clip as the clip will break over time. Otherwise I bought it again.

Great replacement combo adapter + serial adapter

Bought this on a whim to try and replace the bulky console cable + USB serial adapter I always carried with me. I had to download the driver manually and from the website. The navigation requires a bit of attention, but overall I found the driver quickly and installed it without too much trouble. I had to find drivers for (2) logical devices, first for the COM port and then for the USB port. Both were installed from the same driver package. I have tested the cable with both PuTTY and TeraTerm…

The cable is not recognized by Windows, causing the blue screen

I received the cable with no ass. I plugged it in and it couldn't find the right driver. I tried the Cisco driver, the driver from the chipset website, and the windows driver before giving up. Trying a Windows driver caused a blue screen on my computer. Seems to be a well made cable but the one I got was only useful for tying things together.

Excellent replacement for Cisco Console Cable

Since I don't have computers with COM ports I needed a new USB console cable. I didn't want to buy an adapter to use the old cable. Windows 10 had no trouble installing drivers and I was able to get into the 'locked' Unifi USG3 to find out why it stopped working.
