Let me first say that I have seen and felt this salt shaker (as pictured) in stores and it is as beautiful as the picture and very soft to the touch. However, this is not what I got. Although it's been months since my Le Creuset Salt Pig was tragically destroyed, I was reluctant to make this purchase. As you may have noticed, there are many conflicting reviews pointing to the species: is it really terrible? Wonderful? Not what is listed? Will it even contain salt or maybe ignite spontaneously? I bought a concrete bowl with an olive wood lid. Lid and bowl fit together perfectly. The fountain is small, it contains salt, but that suits me. I ordered an olive wood bowl and a top version for my peppers, let's see if the quality is the same. The reviews weren't very good, but I hope everything will be fine.
