💧 Enhanced Water Purification with Berkey Gravity-Fed Filter Purification Elements Review

Bought this product to provide clean, safe water in an emergency in the event of a power outage. Did a test run and found it very acceptable. My wife has more sensitive taste buds compared to me, she could definitely try the charcoal filter. But this carbon filter will really help purify any water source we use in an emergency. I am very satisfied with this product.

I've been using a smaller version of this Berkey that my parents used for over two years. It has proven itself when filtering hard well water (iron). The water is so bad that over time it will turn the tub and clothes orange due to deposits. This filter is a must have for me as I drink about a gallon of water a day, use it for my coffee and also use it for my humidifier. I can only recommend this filter system. Effective, simple, tastes fantastic.

We bought the largest possible and saved almost $100 by choosing the one with scratches and dents. It wasn't in the original packaging and we didn't care. However, someone assembled it upside down and my husband had trouble taking it apart to put it back together properly. We have well water at home and it tastes amazing. I can't do justice to this review as I bought this Berkey Emergency Device and will probably never use it to this point. All I can say is it's VERY worth it. I wouldn't have bought this if other companies hadn't been recalled like this over this Covid-19 nonsense. If I had the time I would probably make a food grade bucket system myself. However, the quality of this Berkey is okay and it looks good. All its parts seem to be there. If it works well, I'll probably give another star. It's doubtful

I used to buy water from machines for $0.35 a gallon and kept forgetting to fill my 5 gallon pitchers. I LOVE this Berkey! It holds about 5 gallons of water and is filtered overnight. I bought a 6 gallon Berkey. Filled with tap water the TDS READER said 489ppm aka PPM it reads everything in the water be it good or bad. Filtered water tastes very clean and pure. While it's large and takes up vertical space (29.5 inches for a large Berkey), it's not without its appeal. DO NOT overfill or the bottom fill tank will leak. You fill the upper tank (where the filters are installed) in proportion to the amount in the lower tank.
