Powerful BernzoMatic JT680 Jumbo Flame Torch Head for Superior Heat Review

New propane torch kits come with valve/head assemblies that have a stem so small that it hardly ever ignites or stays on. This is similar to what we used with a propane torch kit many years ago. Throw away all the new crap after I get this. I'm a lucky tourist.

I bought a large tip burner because I needed a loose, large, fluffy flame. Instead, I got a precise, carefully designed burner with a perfectly focused flame and highly efficient fuel use. I had to return it and got an inferior flashlight for my specific needs. Shame as it's a solid breed for the price and I highly recommend it.

I like the heat of the torch. The configuration worked very well. What I didn't like is that it's hard to turn it off. It keeps burning even after turning it off - maybe 3 seconds. The one I threw away was from the same company and it will burn for 10 seconds. I hope the company provided me with one that shuts down well. I still gave 5 stars. The price was great.

My old BernzoMatic Pencil Torch lost space and I still had a large area to heat (on the axle tube) so I spent an extra $5 on this one jumbo model. The price difference is worth it. I also light my pellet stove with propane and this large burner cuts the ignition time by half or less. Although it appears to be a "bottle dryer", it uses more propane. than an old pencil burner. In response to other reviews, I was able to turn the propane flow down to low without noticing any further heat build-up,

You can only run these things at Full or Off. This has been confirmed to me by several people with years of experience in handling torches. I did not know that. And I am sure that a significant part of buyers when buying this lamp does not know about it. If you run it at low levels it will overheat. I didn't see anyone in the comment sections mentioning this fact. But it's an important consideration, which is why my rating is only three stars.

Wanted to use touch to sweat copper fittings. The flashlight did not work right out of the box. Every time you move a propane cylinder, it will flare up. A complete garbage. Would not recommend this product. What happened to bernzoMatic? They used quality products. It's not even a one star product. Completely disappointed. I intend to contact BernzoMatic to see if they offer a guarantee on their product. Disappointed is putting it mildly.

Bought this jumbo torch head to get rid of the stick torch head I use. The rod flame seemed to take forever to climb up the 3/4" copper tube, but the huge flame gets the job done in no time. This new model has a flat area at the base where you can use a wrench to turn the head without putting pressure on the side of the valve to tighten it. Be careful and don't get carried away with the wrench, just light pressure is enough. All in all, I regret not having bought this gigantic head a few years…
