Frame: motorcycle goggles made in anticrash impact resistant polycarbonate - Color: mat black - Size: suitable for all types of faces (narrow to large). Photochromic and Polarized Yellow LENS: photochromic to darken and lighten depending on the available sunlight and polarized to block blinding glare, from dark early morning starts to bright midday sun, to the long shadows of late afternoon. The yellow polarized lens is the one defined as the "high definition lens" par excellence, ideal for driving and sports activities that require an increase in contrast in conditions of low light, rain, fog, etc. The inside of the front frame is covered by a removable soft foam - wiindproof and comfortable - Grip at the tip of the arm and nosepad: keeps the sunglasses from slipping - - thanks to their excellent grip at arms, at the nose pads and with the elastic strap, this sunglasses will stay in place. Interchangeables arms with elastic strap to have a very skin tight fitting for motorcycle and extreme sports. The lens meets "drop ball anticrash test". Wraparound design: protects the eyes from wind and bad weather, provide enhanced peripheral vision. Please note, photochromic lenses lenses cat. range 1 to 3 (this is the perception of the color of the lenses but thanks to the polarization the protection factor proceeds from cat 2 to 3) react to UV rays and will not darken when worn behind an helmet visor or windscreen that blocks UV light. They must be exposed to direct sunlight to initiate.

Best specs I've ever had

Would highly recommend these glasses. I've been riding motorcycles for 30 years and these are the best specs I've ever had. The photochromic function works very well, so you don't have to take two pairs of glasses, sunglasses and clear glasses with you on a trip. The multifunction that converts this into points is a plus. And the foam padding around the inside of the goggles keeps the wind out well. I'm sure it can be used just as effectively for skiing or boating.

The freeze trick is key!

If you think your Bertonis won't change in the sun, clean them then put them in the freezer for two hours. Then take them out and place them in DIRECT SUNLIGHT for 15-30 minutes. By then they should be completely dark. From now on they will lighten and darken without any problems depending on the sunlight. If your car/truck windshield has UV protection, your glasses will likely NOT darken while you're in the car. The intensity of the sun's UV rays makes the lenses darker. Hooray!

Great product and even better customer service

After extensive research I settled on a Bertoni 333 and a Wiley X SG-1 for my mountain bike. In my opinion, the Bertoni 333 is much more comfortable on technical descents when the helmet is impacting the goggle frame. They have a wider field of view and of course a photochromic advantage over the SG-1, which requires manual lens switching. As others have pointed out, Bertoni's photochromic lenses don't fully darken, but that's actually an advantage for my application, where I often drive…

FIXED UPDATE 7-21-20. I would not hesitate to buy anything from this company.

Updated 21/07/20 I contacted Bertoni Eyewear and very quickly received a reply from Stefano asking for photos of the defective part. I received an email the same day that new glasses were being shipped and shortly after I received confirmation the new glasses are on their way with the FedEx priority tracking number. I am totally impressed with the customer service from Stefano and Bertoni Eyewear and very happy with the result, I would not hesitate for a second to buy anything from this…
