My cigarette lighter only has a 15 amp cord, so 180 watts max before the fuse blows. This baby is right here, as close as you can get. And it works great, I like to sit in the passenger seat and use my laptop. You can also use it to connect other simple devices like a speaker. Just make sure your devices don't go over 16 amps or the device could explode or just shut down.

I do home health and drive an older car. I use it every day to charge my laptop and other electronic devices. It makes some kind of noise from time to time - I smack it once and it usually goes away (I'm not mechanical like some of the other reviewers). The only problem is that it uses a cigarette lighter in my car. I need to use another one in my center console to power my GPS unit. The new department looks like they have solved this small problem.

I have tried many different inverters. This is one of the few that can be found with 3 ships. I use it in my car so me, my wife and kids can quickly charge our phones with our original chargers. I also use it on my boat for the same reason. I have a friend who hardwired it into his RV and they ALL work great in all applications. I wish I had a few photos to add. I'll try to take some and add to this review later.

Useful during a 5 week trip. Everything charged in the car. The only problem was that the power cord of the device kept falling out. We wouldn't even notice that it wasn't charging, except when the car GPS was connected to it and suddenly indicated it would turn off if it wasn't connected. It would be better if the plug was more solid. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if you could put it in your seat without interfering. But you just have to push it into the car with your feet or other objects and…
