The handle broke within the first five minutes I had it.

Haven't actually cooked in this pan yet, maybe I'll leave a better review after I experiment (and if I can get a new handle). The design of this pan is really cute. Interesting because it's oval, and if you put the lid on "sideways" and then turn it 90 degrees, it fixes the lid on the pan. The problem is that mine was so tight and required so much turning force to turn the lid all the way down that the plastic pin that was supposed to stop the handle from turning broke immediately. I'm trying…

Don't believe those who complain about the wrong cover!

I almost didn't buy because of their comments but I guessed correctly that a large percentage of the 5 star reviews can't be wrong. Cover complaints are due to user error. When my pan arrived, I immediately checked whether the lid would fit. It was very tight indeed, and it took some effort to align the locking tabs. I kept locking and unlocking the lid and left it in the closed position overnight. Long story short, I've used the pot 3 times and after each use, the lid latches easier to align…

One noodle pot to rule them all!

I absolutely love this pot! I've had this pot for a little over a month and a half and have used it at least 25 times! As with all cookware, I seasoned it before use and continue to do so for basic maintenance and nonstick care. The lid screws on easily and stays in place while draining. If the lid feels a little loose, I just push the edge of the lid a little to tighten it up and easily unscrew and reclose securely. I have no issues with paint peeling or chipping or metal deteriorating over…

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Functionality

I have had one of these for many years but after many years of use it had to be replaced. I ordered it thinking that time would allow the manufacturer to improve on an already great product. They did it in one aspect as there is a piece that keeps the top handle from rotating and loosening like the old one did. However, the lid does not fit the pot making it unusable. The clips on the sides of the lid do NOT fit the rim of the pot to secure it. I figured it would be an easy fix, so I tried…

The lid will be tight at first - don't give up!

I was hesitant to buy this pot because a reviewer mentioned a tight lid - here's my way of "breaking" it. When I received the pot it was really hard to close it all the way. Wash the pot and lid in hot water, then close the lid completely (I used a kitchen towel to make the process easier) and then store the pot with the lid in that position. When cooking in this pot, close the lid the first few times (again, use a kitchen towel to touch the pot and lid as it gets hot) and then store again with

A huge improvement over the original aluminum pot

I now have two original aluminum versions and this is my favorite pasta pot. The aluminum ones are fine, but over time the inner nonstick coating will start to peel off (and you don't want to eat it), and either the plastic parts or the spot welding will fail. When they got to a certain point I just made holes in the ground and now they're some very fun flower pots. The stainless steel model basically fixes all the issues I had with the aluminum model. The handles (side and top) are made from…
