Great! best in stovetop espresso & moka pots

We bought these more as decorative kitchen items due to the colors of the Italian flag. Bialetti is known as one of the best espresso machines on the market. My Italian mother-in-law still has one that she brought from Italy over 40 years ago. It's a simple design and if you can make your own espresso then this is for you. Because of this, Bialetti is in the news due to financial difficulties and her future is uncertain. It might be a good time to pick up one of these versions of Moka Express…

Pros
  • understandable even for old people
Cons
  • there are problems

Cool color but wrong handling

Maybe it's because it's red but this thing doesn't behave like the original. The taste is the same, IMHO. I don't know what "Blending Power" is - is that similar to what Bubbles can do with Power Puff Girls? Easy to Clean - Bialetti are oddly shaped and not easy to clean, but this one is very difficult. Also, the red below turned orange. Anyway, I love moka pots but I'm reconsidering their place in my kitchen, just because they're aluminum they don't wear out well, they're hard to clean. They…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • I don't like anything about it, everything is fine

Damn good cup of coffee

This is my first coffee upgrade to a standard french press and I said it makes a really good cup of coffee. Now it should be said that this will NOT be real coffee, but an espresso-like drink. However, I have found that you can easily convert the concentrate into a coffee substitute by diluting half (3 out of 6 "cups") of about 40-60 of the concentrate in water. Of course you can dilute it to taste, but this is the ratio that works for me. The espresso from the all-purpose Folger is really good

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Bad experience
