BIG FUDGE Stylus Gel for Turntables Review

I have been buying Big Fudge products for my vinyl collection for about a year and I am very satisfied. Your new stylus cleaner is no exception. The Big Fudge Stylus Cleaner is significantly cheaper than comparable products from other manufacturers, but does the same job. I just got this and I already love it and prefer to use it as a stylus brush. A must for any audiophile.

Big Fudge Stylus Gel keeps my new stylus super clean and is very easy to use. It's small, but how big do you need it to clean the pen? That way I can hold it right on the turntable next to the base of the arm. It's barely noticeable, but always there when I need it. And the price is much better than others. It's an easy choice!

Seems to do its job reasonably well, but if I were to buy it again I'd probably go for the $15 Hudson as it includes a magnifying glass. If you don't care, then I highly recommend this product. As with all gel cleaners, make sure the turntable plate is NOT moving during use. I'm going to attach it to something to increase its height so I can use it without a plate. I don't want to ruin my $$ EMT/Thorens MC cartridge.

Gel is convex and does not fill the container completely which means the needle cannot come into contact with the gel without it the cartridge itself also touches the container wall with gel. So this product was useless for me. However, the packaging is not easy to open without destroying it, so I have not attempted to request a refund. However, I am confident that this product will work well in applications where the needle can provide adequate contact. with jelly.

Simply dip the stylus lever (with the drop lever) in the gel a few times and it will effectively pick up all the dust and dirt that has built up on the stylus. Be sure to close tightly after cooking and keep out of direct sunlight. The instructions also say you can gently rinse it in warm water if it picks up too much dirt, so it should last quite a while. Highly recommended and significantly cheaper than the well-known needle…

This is the first time I've bought and used a stylus gel - I can't believe I haven't done it before. On first use, the gel cleaned my stylus of invisible dirt. Playback has improved a lot more than I expected. Much fewer static clicks (which have always been a source of frustration) than before using it. I will never be without this thing from now on. For €14 that's no problem. Definitely a "must have" for anyone who listens to a lot of records.
