This device works best with straight 11/8" steerer tubes. This tool is excellent for heavy-duty applications and is excellent for pressing in bottom bracket and head tube bearings. The supplied step mandrels did not fit my PF30 on my Custom SWorks Tarmac, but in addition large washers were used which worked well for pressing in the bearings. The price was about 1/3 the cost of the Park Tool which basically does the same thing. The lock takes some getting used to, but can be quickly and reliably adjusted to the desired width.
