Less than 30,000 miles away, just ordered genuine brown box

Absolutely awful. Worked well for about a year (15,000 miles) then the ride quality deteriorated. Yesterday, about a year and a half after ordering these Bilstein blocks (30,000 miles on it), I ordered original GM blocks in a brown box that came with the truck. I rode it about 80,000 miles before I needed a replacement. Garbage. FYI, I tow a decent amount, but the original shocks that came with the truck lasted almost 2.5 times as long.

You should try these stun guns

Hi guys. I have a 2008 GMC Sierra 2500 Duramax that I just installed these 5100s on. I replaced my shocks with Napa heavy duty shocks 2 years ago. Since then 3 out of 4 have failed. I'm no mechanic, but after installing these Bilstein shocks, my truck drives like a car (not quite, just a lot smoother). I read many reviews of them and they are as described so far. They are durable and it took me about an hour to swap out all 4. I've only had them in my truck for a week so I'll let you know if…

TOO HEAVY! to shocks, struts and suspension

I had good experience using Bilstein shocks on an older Chevy truck many years ago. They're too stiff on a 2006 half-ton Chevy. I checked the part numbers four times to make sure I have the right ones. I called Bilstein to see if they have satisfaction guarantees and they just said no. I had to reset the stock shocks to sell the truck because it ran horribly. It was a full truck, so there weren't any other variables to contend with. I had to choose a rancho that could be regulated. These…

Driving a 5100 is hard, just awful.

5100 terrible shocks on my 2002 2500HD 4x4 These things make me feel like I'm in a tank, like a brick on wheels. These are very stiff shock absorbers. Don't buy if you own a truck, go to your truck brand's forums and do your research before spending your hard earned money, you won't like the way they drive. Trust me trust what you read by researching these forums. I'm not the only one who said they ride very hard, I've only had them in my truck for 9 months and I'm already eyeing others, maybe…
