I use this on my FlightAware ADS-B receiver and it works great. I chose this one because of the longer cable. I installed it in a window and fly over 1000 planes every day and some even fly over 250 miles. Good price for a cheap antenna.

The 978/1090 band of this antenna is nothing special. This is just an ordinary antenna sold in a deceptive way. You can find other antennas for this band that work better. Two stars because it works, just not built as described.

So I connected my Nano Three SDR here after the supplied antenna broke. As soon as I hooked up this bad boy, I started receiving all sorts of stations. I even found something strange, like the second transmission from the nearest radio station, far from the FM broadcast band. Not a bad little antenna!

Arrived quickly and seems well made but I'm only giving 3 stars because they don't work any better than the stock antenna that came with my SDR. So I'm a bit disappointed. However, they don't work any better. maybe the signals are just crappy for me and it's not the antenna.

I used a home made antenna which worked fine but not very well. Plugging this in gave me another 100 miles of coverage straight away, as well as low-altitude coverage of up to 30 miles. Your results may vary by location, but at this price point, it's a good deal and a good option to try. It's not exactly weatherproof and I expect it to only last a few years before needing to be replaced.

Totally impressed with the performance of my ADS-B joystick with this antenna. Tested only in a two story house temporarily mounted on a stereo (metal surface). The place is full of electronics and possible interference. Reception of aircraft up to 100 miles, local aircraft up to 600 feet. Can't wait to get it in my 9ft car on the roof. Whether you live in an apartment building, a skyscraper or an apartment building, this antenna will still work for you!

Ordered this antenna for my FlightAware USB module. With its original antenna, I got planes that went no further than 25 miles. With this antenna I can now receive data from aircraft up to 90 miles away! I didn't need the supplied adapter - the end of the cable was screwed directly into the FlightAware module. The cord is about 9 or 10 feet long, enough to get it where you need it. I put it on the metal canopy roof and the magnetic base seems very stable. Very happy with my purchase!
