I bought this product to secure my PS3. I ordered Fat32 format because PS3 is only Fat32 compatible. The item I received was not fat32 formatted and was useless to me. Revain provided a replacement that had to be in Fat32 for me to use. It was also called fat32 like the first one. And that's it. no Formatted. As. fat32. Absolute waste of time and money.

I used it not long ago, but after about twenty minutes of transferring files to it, it overheated and the computer couldn't recognize it. I'm waiting for it to cool down to check if the files are ok. This might be fine if you're just storing information on it to retrieve in short bursts, but I often have to work with different drives for long periods of time, so it's a bit inconvenient for me. None of my other drives overheat like this.

We received this hard drive to store information from a computer that we knew was about to fail. Access to files is very rare, so the hard drive has been connected less than 20 times in the last 1.5 years. Regardless, the transfer cable barely works, requiring a wiggle and a careful hold to keep it connected to the computer just so we can get a file from it.

This product works fine for me, as you noticed here, it's fat32 formatted, but when I connected it to my windows 7 desktop, it got stuck on NTFS system when installing reformatted :( but don't worry all that matters is the quality and as long as this little hard drive works GREAT there is one thing: I have an Incredisonic Media Player. The disc was formatted in exFAT, not FAT32. The reason I bought the drive was that it should already be formatted to FAT32. Very sad misrepresentation.

Excellent product! I use it as an external HD for my PS3. Once you've created separate folders for games, videos, music, and photos, you're good to go.
