It is a very heavy item and speaks for a good quality. Unfortunately, I had a problem with some of my embossing folders, the center was not embossed as deeply as the outer edges. I was looking for a new die cutting/embossing machine. When I took it out of the box, even my husband said it looked like a child's toy. Completely made of plastic, not hard and not heavy. Best kept secret in hand punches! I really like this 9 inch machine that I bought for large format die cutting. The only downside is the lack of a metal insert accessory, which I believe is essential for making clean cuts on complex dies, regardless of the "pull" pulley in the machine.
