I am so disappointed that I have not had this item for so long, even a year. The black finish is chipping and rusting on one side only, spinning and not that good! I took it apart twice to see if I did anything wrong, but I didn't. I have two other less expensive spinners that have never rusted and work. Excellent. I would give five stars if it works well and doesn't rust.

Very disappointed with it. inferior quality. The item came with two curved blades but still spins well. My big problem with this is the threaded connections for the three frame sections. They are too short and in strong winds the bar bends at the joints because the connectors are too short to withstand lateral movement. I constantly have to disassemble the sections just to straighten the post. I would like to stress that I do not live in an area with strong winds. It just gets windy sometimes…

Really less than one star. The product is very small but very colorful. First, the installation instructions are different from what is shown in the picture. Second, the weather vane will not turn in the wind no matter how you tighten or loosen the screws. Luckily I was able to use the included pole for the old wind vane to replace the new one. I bought these in June and was very pleased. Unfortunately, the pole that the spinner sits on is very wobbly. In the past few weeks I've noticed that the spinner seems to tip over. Upon closer inspection, I found that the rod was bent in both places where it twisted. Unfortunately, where the curvature is at the joints, they can't be twisted any tighter. So now the pole is useless. I don't live in a high wind area. I gave 2 stars because I enjoyed it for 6 months. But now it's useless. Bad…

At first I wasn't very happy, the rotors almost didn't turn. I noticed that it stayed in the same position on either side until the wind picked up to 5mph. I saw another (diff) while driving and it was spinning in a very light breeze. So I had to add 16 3/8" stainless steel washers (4 on each side) to balance this thing. Then she started spinning. This kinetic wind sculpture is very attractive. It was shipped quickly and arrived in perfect condition. Very easy to assemble. Comes with the required key. However, as others have noted, spinners are poorly balanced and will not rotate if left uncorrected, except in very strong winds. I used 10g fan balance weights on each side to get acceptable performance. It takes a little experimentation to get them right. As others have written, this counter does not work. It's an "IS" ball bearing spinner, but horribly unbalanced and the part that spins to determine the direction of the wind needs work. I'm a mechanic and pretty anal so I'll "make it work" but for normal people it would be a waste of money. I also bought a Jupiter decoy from the same company and it works and looks fantastic. I would definitely recommend this. This one isn't very good. The concept is good, it just needs a little more technology.
