When it comes to toasters, this is a solid little guy. I bought this unit to replace an old Black and Decker model. Unfortunately, this one is a bit lighter and feels cheaper overall than the old one. I returned this toaster after burning myself trying to get to the toast. The appearance of the toaster heats up so much that even a light hand touch on any part of the toaster other than the handle will cause an instantaneous fire. I seriously don't understand how this product is still on the market because it's actually quite dangerous. This toaster is great for toasting bread but is very disappointing when it comes to baking and toasting functions. The cookies are baked three or more times than usual and do not brown. Who wants to eat an anemic looking cookie? Searing vegetables takes longer, as do frozen fries. Crumpled fries will take twice as long or longer than the instructions say. Just received a toaster. I needed to replace my toaster and decided this was the best choice. It costs about the same as my toaster. The size is good. I don't think you can fit 6 slices of bread unless they are very small. I managed to make 3 english muffins. Grill and oven suit me. The oven temperature is not very accurate. Bought to replace an old B&D toaster. This one seemed better at first because it has 4 heating elements instead of 2 in the old one. The rack has two positions, one for toasting/roasting and the other for baking/reheating. Two separate buttons for control: one for toasting / one for "bake reheat". This is a nice compact convection toaster. The biggest plus is that this one uses newer "glass" heating elements for almost instant heat, unlike older or cheaper small stoves with "iron" heating elements. The addition of a very accurate toast timer is also a plus if you use it to make toast. We mainly use it for heating semi-finished products, so we will probably not use this function.
