DO NOT BUY from Kitchen & Dining

This is the worst can opener and by far the worst Black and Decker product I have ever bought. This is dangerous in that you could cut yourself on the blade if the lid falls off when you place the jar on the opener.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Doubtful

Low price worth

Item as described and good value. However, the lever on mine is very stubborn and I often find it difficult to squeeze and catch gently. Am I doing something wrong or is something off-center/curved? does the job

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Negative impression

Good with some flaws

I love this product! I would change two things though: - make the cord retractable or put it somewhere else - it sits at the base and often gets in the way and it can be a problem to rewind when you put the can opener away if that's the power Sense. The upper tends to loosen a bit and is difficult to put back on once it has come loose. Also, my husband and I love this product and use it all the time.

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Yay, no more cranking by hand!

I've had about 2 months with no problems. It was very easy to put together, although I lost my mind for a moment before realizing the cord was in the bottom 😑 that was due to my own sloppiness. Overall I'm definitely happy with it and think it was worth the price. I got so tired of struggling with hand openers and after the 7th or 8th got thrown in the trash through the kitchen I picked it up and ordered it.

Pros
  • Will please a lot of people
Cons
  • Easy maintainability

DO NOT BUY from Electric

This is the worst can opener and by far the worst Black and Decker product I have ever bought. This is dangerous in that you could cut yourself on the blade if the lid falls off when you place the jar on the opener.

Pros
  • This is Amazing
Cons
  • Infinitely Sluggish

Not quite easy but works well

I've read the instructions on how to start the jar but even after many uses it still takes a few tries to get it in the right place most of the time to cut off . But if you position it properly, it cuts fairly well, although the cuts are rough, so I'm concerned about how long the blade will last. It's sufficient for now, just a little more trouble than I thought.

Pros
  • Several competitors
Cons

WORKS WELL BUT. in kitchen and dining room

Can't tell you how many can openers I've had over the years. Right out of the box everything seems to open easily, but time will tell. The knife itself seems to need a heavier base, but it hasn't tipped over yet. The lever is plastic and to insert the glass you have to lift it. Not that big of a deal BUT I think it could be designed light enough to push the lever to where it stays up when you're not pushing it down. When it cuts, it feels more positive than any other can opener I've had, and…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Modern
