This is the best thermometer I have ever owned. I wanted a good new one as the one I bought in 2020 turned out to be very unreliable. I'm happy to say that this one is easy to use and I think it's very accurate. It can measure your temperature in a variety of ways, so you can take it the way you want. I highly recommend this product.

There appears to be an issue with the accuracy of this thermometer. I have not found the readings to repeat after multiple attempts on the same spot on the forehead. When my daughter was sick she gave me 101.2, 97.8, 99.6, 98.3, all without the thermometer moving. I understand that thermometers can have some accuracy range, but that's pretty far off. I got this after my old thermometer of another brand stopped working. At first everything seemed to be working perfectly until I decided to check the temperature with a traditional thermometer, then I noticed that there was a slight temperature difference. I then decided to check the temperature in my ear and then on my forehead. The temperature readings varied slightly. I wouldn't consider these readings 100 percent accurate, although you can take an average to get an idea of the temperature.

My son has microtia and atresia (no ear canals) and we have to use a non-ear thermometer. However, I prefer the in-ear versions for myself and my other kids. Convenient in the sense that we can keep the hat for my son and take it off for the others. The measurement between two measurements is close but not exact, an ear measurement is always slightly higher than a forehead measurement.
