I'm not a climber but I work in a quarry and walk on steep piles of large broken rocks. Most leather gloves don't fit well and have terrible breathability. I bought these recently. The fit is perfect for me - they were a bit tight at first so I soaked them in hot water and wore them until dry and now they are fine. I also dyed them black with regular RIT fabric dye, which darkened them nicely. Decent gloves that can withstand a little workshop and touring use seem well made.
