Ideal for small hands

I use these gloves for rope handling in technical rescue. I have small hands and had trouble finding gloves that fit my fingers. All of the other gloves I tried had very wide fingers that caught in the carabiners and made it difficult to articulate small objects. These gloves are perfect for slender little hands. Most other brands had the XS size too big for me, this XS brand was a bit small, the small size fit perfectly. I had to exchange a size and the customer service was great. I've been…

Gloves not for Half Dome

Probably a great product but not for climbing Half Dome which requires 400ft of rope climbing at over 8000ft. I used it on 9/23/18 and my grip slipped off the cables. I decided to write this review because the great reviews and previous reviews convinced me to buy these gloves stating buyers had used them to climb Half Dome and had no problems. Unfortunately my experience was not like that. It was a terrifying moment when I realized I wasn't holding the cables hanging down from 8400 feet. I was

Fantastic gloves for avoiding sharp rocks

I'm not a climber but I work in a quarry and walk on steep piles of large broken rocks. Most leather gloves don't fit well and have terrible breathability. I wanted something lighter that still offered adequate protection - and this is the best I've tried so far. Size XL fits very well (6ft 3in, tall build) - not too tight but definitely snug with velcro closure. The soft leather side of the glove is perfect for working around rocks and provides the security I need. The mesh back offers…

Decent fit, breathable material, good starting gloves for light work

I bought these recently. The fit is perfect for me - they were a bit tight at first so I soaked them in hot water and wore them until dry and now they are fine. I also dyed them black with regular RIT fabric dye, which darkened them nicely. Decent gloves that can withstand a little workshop and touring use seem well made. Haven't used them in the summer yet but they feel pretty cool in the hand and would probably be fine in most spring, summer and fall locations. As for the fit, if I take a…

Just climbed the cables at Half Dome

These gloves did a great job on a recent climb to the top of Half Dome in Yosemite. A few others we've seen have tried using $5 leather gardening gloves or even lined bike gloves to lift those cables (google images and you'll see what I'm talking about) and had all sorts of problems. These gloves have an excellent grip and are completely non-slip, which is very important for your safety in the mountains. My wife was on this trip and when she responded the first words out of her mouth (after…
