This is an essential tool for European car owners who don't have nuts and bolts on their car but screws. This is important for aligning the wheel when screwing it in, in the event of a flat tire or when changing a tire. Much safer and faster to use. Just received two suspensions and went outside to try them out. They work great! Since I had heavy wheels/tires (80# rear / 68# front) for the X5, I bought two to align the wheels with a bolt pattern and bulge on the hub. Good workmanship and finish. The black zinc surface is pleasant to the touch and ensures a good grip; looks like the same finish as on my rogue ohio weightlifting bar.

Some of my cars use eyebolts instead of nuts. In the past when I've removed a wheel, it was a real trick to put it back on and line up the wheel holes with the hub. This guide pin makes wheel assembly much easier. I've only used one and it helped a lot, but two makes the job even easier. This leadership tool works well. It threads well and easily threads into my car's hub.

I like the fact that it's longer than regular hangers (Tommy Bar) but the knurling on the end is too aggressive and takes up more room than necessary. You have to be really careful sliding the wheel over it or it will scrape the paint in the screw hole. In comparison, the stock suspension is smooth. Unless you have greasy hands, screwing them into a clean, unleavened hub shouldn't be a problem.

Not all vehicles have bolts built into the brake discs or brake drums. I have a few and self-service like changing brake pads, changing tires or flushing fluid is always a chore. You'll need to lift the wheel and tire and line up the bolt holes while you insert the cleats! No fun. I love this tool. It's perfect for the job and very reasonably priced considering how frustrating it is. Get it if your car is missing brake mounting bolts. You will thank me later.

I would advise anyone who has lug bolts rather than nuts and bolts to get these when flipping or changing tires for the season. This is a great product at a very good price. I didn't give it 5 stars because the finish is very 'rough', it doesn't have a clear coat and/or it's not anodized metal like it looks in the photos. I understand it will still scratch if it had a better finish but I've only tried it once and it's already lacking color and I think after 5-10 uses the metal will probably become extremely rough to the point that it's the Nut holes can scratch the wheels. .
