Nothing to hold bottles on the MTB trail. I bought two of these for my new bike and lost 2 bottles pretty quickly. I finally did what I had to do and bought some King Cage mounts for my bike. No more lost water bottles. Maybe they'll do for a cruiser road bike or a commuter bike.

I had King Cage Titanium bottle cages and I had 2 sets of these Blackburn stainless steel cages. They weigh 41g and the KC Titan weighs around 36g. There is no noticeable difference in appearance and function. The difference in weight is one nickel per piece. Does it make sense to pay more than $40 per cage to save a whopping 5 grams? Not for me it is not.

Looks good on my steel frame Ritchey. They are definitely much lighter than traditional steel cages. I had no trouble launching bottles even 300 miles when using them. They don't feel as strong as the KING cages, but they look similar and feel like an improvement over the standard aluminum cage you get when you buy your bike from the bike shop.

I bought 2 of these devices a year ago. They were easy to install (like most cages), look great, and do what they're supposed to do: hold water bottles. One is actually holding a bottle of Bontrager tools and the other is holding an older Elite Crystal Ombra water bottle, and neither of them jostled, even on rough road surfaces. Additionally, as another reviewer noted, they complement the color of the classic titanium frame. Very satisfied, especially at a more than fair price and recommended.

These are great water bottle holders. The entire appearance of Ti for free. Multiple mounting options with direct bolting or mounting plate slots to move hose clamps and mount directly to the pipe. and then add a collar at the bottom for stabilization. Now I can get my water bottle out of the cage even when carrying an Oveja Negra top tube frame bag.
