Setting up 1k shouldn't be that hard.

The main camera and mount were easy to set up, but setting up the LTE module was a nightmare. After several attempts to get it working and numerous calls to at&t, I decided the cloud just wasn't worth the hassle.

Stay connected to the DVR.

Great addition to Blackvue Wi-Fi DVRs. Allows you to stay connected to the dash cam without asking friends or family for the WiFi password when you park. Pretty easy to use and understand device. That being said, I'm surprised they couldn't make it smaller and smoother. Looks good in the corner of your windshield, but when using the DVR it's a quick access device and it would be ideal if it were less visible. Otherwise there are no complaints.

  • Easy to read control panel

An absolute nightmare, the best of built-in cameras

Set up this blackvue LTE module with the 900x model. First, it doesn't work with Verizon, so I switched carriers to at&t. The camera recognizes the SIM card, but there is no connection. I've spent 3 days getting this thing online, I've followed every step given by customer service, at&t and I'm still on the phone trying to figure out what the problem is. Also, nobody seems to know what the Black Vue Cloud LTE device is. out of the box. I am unsatisfied with this experience.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Good Device No: Autoelectronics

It took me a few weeks to connect to the cloud with this device. Culprit: SIM card from AT&T. For some reason AT&T (standalone) SIM card and data plan just didn't work. Tried several times with Black Vue and AT&T to get the device working. Black Vue tech support suggested trying T-Mobile and purchasing a broadband SIM card. I received a SIM card with a prepaid broadband plan. After inserting the card into the device, I followed the steps to connect but it didn't work. Then I tried to connect aโ€ฆ

1 min worked and all

So I got this for my 900x-2ch camera. I have the North American version and by the way it ONLY works with T-Mobile and AT&T, not the old Sprint (before they merged with T-Mobile) and not Verizon at all. I got this so I could get a constant cloud while parking while my wife prepares to ride our fifth wheel across the county. I activated my SIM card at a local AT&T store and inserted it into the module. I then plugged it in as instructed and clicked the 'Activate SIM' icon while connected to theโ€ฆ

Poor quality control as the first block was defective

The first block I ordered was defective but Revain took care of it and sent me a replacement. I'm giving this three stars because of the manufacturer's poor quality control, not because of the performance of the replacement unit, which was not defective. The three stars are also based on BlackVue's technical support when I called them to fix a failed device. Tech support didn't help and basically sent me the instructions that came in the box and said it could be my SIM card to call my cellphone

Not compatible with AT&T

Not satisfied with this product. At&t cannot register my SIM card on this device. We spent hours on the phone with At&t and blackvue. Will be back soon if I can't get it working. Update: At&t sent me a second sim instead of another one. Now they were able to activate it with IMEI number but the device still doesn't work. I've spent countless hours on the phone with AT&T and Blackvue and neither of them seem to know how to fix the problem. Blackvue's solution was to email a screenshot of my simโ€ฆ

But it works. About dashcams

Let me start by saying that BlackVue camera systems are arguably the best dashcams ever made, period. However, this accessory is required for the new cameras of the "X" series. to connect to the cloud and I have the 900X which is the top of the range. The only US carriers that work with it are Sprint/T-Mobile or AT&T. Verizon won't work. Tariff plans of all other road operators for a reasonable amount of data. The cheapest is T-Mobile at $10 per month for a 2GB prepaid plan and a one-time feeโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • The cable is shorter than other models
