Super bright. I ride it on unlit paths at night. It's bright enough to make it look like it's day, making it easy and fun to drive.

Besides the long battery life and brightness, I like the USB charging. The different modes can be seen by the small pieces of the side lights, you don't have to look from the front to see the mode it's in. Plus it comes from Planet Bike who back their products with excellent service.

Slightly larger than competing flashlights of the same brightness, but fits comfortably in your hand when used as a flashlight. It shines brighter than my other one, said to be 1000 lumens, and the pattern is wider and more practical. Note, however, that it won't fully charge when you take a shower. It takes about 4-6 hours to charge from 50% to 100%.

This bike light is just right for my road bike. In daylight, I use a series of flashes to alert cars in front of me that I'm approaching. It's light, easily attaches to my handlebars, and seems to hold a charge for multiple rides. It's easy to charge with the included USB cable. I tried using it at night when there is a lot of light on the street. It is well made and I recommend it.

I mainly use this light in flashing mode to be seen by cars on the road. And they definitely see me. This item is amazingly bright. In flashing mode, this lasts for many hours. I charge it once every two weeks or so. I've also been using it constantly on a dark road and it's pretty bright again. The battery easily lasted for the trip, but I think I'll need to recharge it after such a night ride. What is good.

I've been buying Planet Bike accessories since 2007, they make great products. This is a bright light, easy to assemble. Even at half power, it offers excellent visibility, clocking in at around 400 lumens. If you want to damage some retinas, power them up high. It also has a great flash setting that starts low and gradually gets brighter, up to 800 lumens. Keep in mind that I only ride paved trails at around 9-14 mph. So I don't need a ton of light output.
