Athletic Rule of Thumb

After a nervous debate between buying a size 7.5 or 8 for my daughter I settled on a 7.5. My daughter now wears 7.5 shoes. Remember when you were trying on shoes at the store and your mom gave a thumbs up to see if you had room to grow? This is how my daughter's tennis shoes fit. Well, tap shoes too. While it's more than I'm willing to pay, it's a great shoe and Bloch is preferred by our dance studio. Definitely a good buy.

Pros
  • Leather Stacked Heel
Cons
  • Alright

Very convenient! Slightly smaller for a comfortable fit.

The best tap shoes I've ever worn on my feet! I've always worn sneakers for 2 inch heel shoes. I put them on and they are just amazing. SO VERY comfortable, flexible, they fit your feet well and fit snugly around your feet. 10.5, often wide. I tried 10 and 10.5 and 10 definitely won. In fact, I think I could get away with the 9.5 after wearing it for a while, so I'd definitely down a size. So comfortable.

Pros
  • Sturdy heel stand
Cons
  • Doubtful

LOVE these slippers!

My slippers just arrived and I love them. I usually wear size 10 shoes and based on reviews I ordered a 10 and 10.5. Although I had a bit of a hard time getting my foot in at first (hey, they're new!), once I put my feet in there's plenty of room in the toe box and they're very comfortable in a size 40. I'm taking tap lessons this week after turning 40 and found the lace-up shoes that were available locally really unattractive. They are very cool and smooth, especially with my foot size. You…

These tap dancers are AMAZING. I can't say enough good things about them

These tap shoes are AMAZING. I can't say enough good things about her. They're insanely comfortable, fit like a glove and sound great. I've read all the reviews where most people said they were half a size bigger than their street shoes and they fit perfectly and then a few people said they just ordered their street shoe size and they fit perfectly. Since I usually wear street shoes in sizes 6.5 to 7, I chose size 7 instead of 7.5 and they fit perfectly. I love her. If that's why you're…

Great shoes! Good price!

I bought these tap shoes to replace a cheaper brand I didn't know the name of. I went for the slip on style as I don't want to mess with laces. I like the flexible sole. The shoes are comfortable and the kicks sound way better than my cheap pair. Much better! I put insoles on my shoes and they are still comfortable. They fit great without the added footbed, but my feet appreciate the extra cushioning. I have calluses on both feet in the same place. Size: I ordered my usual street shoe size 5.5.

Pros
  • Pro Balance Non-Slip Rubber
Cons
  • Upgradeable

stretching by carrying

I am a dance teacher and have been doing Bloch tap dances for many years but have never used this style. I wear size 9 street shoes and ordered size 9 and they fit perfectly. After two years of rigorously teaching grades 3-4, one night a week, the shoes have stretched to the point where they are slipping off my heels and I can no longer use them for tapping unless it's for me is. small children who do not tap or jump quickly. I'm afraid they'll slip off when I'm doing pull ups, grabs or ankle…
